in case of stuck key on laptop keyboard, u might thinking of disabling the built in keyboard and use external keyboard.
this happened to me too. after several times of try and error, now i manage to disable the laptop keyboard on my 4 years old IBM R60.
for this, i altered the driver by replacing it with other files, here are the steps.
1. go to folder containing driver for keyboard,
C:WINDOWSsystem32drivers
2. then search for file name i8042prt.sys in that folder.
(working on my IBM R60, dont know about other types)
3. copy the file and store it at other place in case if you want to restore it back
4. download the altered driver which i had uploaded to 4shared.com, here is the link
http://www.4shared.com/file/Q3_D5agj/i8042prt.html
5. in the C:WINDOWSsystem32drivers folder, delete the original i8042prt.sys file, and replace it with the downloaded one. this has to be done immediately after deleting it. or else, the original file will be recreate back within 5 sec.
6. now restart your computer, if it working, the laptop keyboard cannot be used anymore, and you can use usb/external keyboard and no more stuck key.
happy trying! =)
hope u guys can put some comments whether it's working or not and dont forget to mention the type/brand of your computer. appreciate it.
